The beauty of the Korean language

Okay I’m biased, but I really find that Korean has a really really beautiful way of expressing things. Conjuring up powerful images with a simple description. I’ve realized this time and again, but today I learn how to appreciate the beauty of Korean again.

How would you describe this in your native language? I think my English must be pretty limited, cos I can’t really come up with anything very beautiful. I would probably just say.. Bare trees in winter. okay that was horrible. D: I’m sure there is a better of expressing this. Any ideas?

앙상한 가로수 위에 눈꽃이 피어 있었다

This is how Korean does it. Brings out that beautiful image doesn’t it? Okay, maybe that particular photo is not really a 가로수, but I’m sure you can conjure up the right image.

Anyway, click on the picture to go to the original blog! They have so many awesome photos of winter in Korea D: D: I MISS THAT PLACE!!

So random, but Korean is really beautiful.

I think you are just biased towards Korean, lol :p

I think any language can be beautiful. Korean is a beautiful language, but I don’t understand it well enough to appreciate the beauty (yet). For now Japanese is more beautiful to me 🙂

Hm, I would say that in a lot of languages you can express things beautifully. After all English has rich vocabulary.

Gahh!.. I wish you would cater just a wee bit more to the more noob people. I mean, you don’t need to go on and teach from the beginning, but it would be nice if some bracket translations were present.
