What do you want to see on Hangukdrama?

Trying to churn out better content in 2012 and what better way than to pick your brains and ask for suggestions? 😀

Please tell me what would you like to see on Hangukdrama.

I know I have several abandoned ‘series’ of posts. If you want to see more of any series, please let me know.

Feel free to post questions or suggestions or anything! If I find that I can’t answer your questions within a comment, I will blog about it 😀

I’m planning to have a list of websites (korean) that I frequent often at one of the side columns / page and also will bring in more interesting Korean content.

May 2012 be awesome.

I’d love to see a list of Korean dramas that are not love-themed. I can’t stand watching the same story over and over with different names/jobs/locales. When I was learning Japanese, I could at least find good dramas that were not (primarily) focused on the stereotypical East Asian drama formula (such as Hero, Nemureru Mori, and Gokusen), but I have yet to find a good Korean drama.

Words Within was a close contender, but even that had a bit too much of the love angle at its core. I’m sure there’s something out there that would be interesting for me, but I’m truly in the dark.

Mmm will try to work on that! Very rare to find dramas without love as a central list, you will do better with korean films ^^

But 싸인 (Sign) a forensic science drama is one of the best that doesnt focus on love story. There’s a little~~~ bit of love story in there, but doesnt shadow it’s medical theme. The story’s awesome. Definitely highly recommended ^^

Tree With Deep Roots (뿌리 깊은 나무) is a historical drama that doesn’t really focus on love, but there’s still a bit of it.
Flowers For My Life (꽃 찾으러 왔단다) is a love story but it’s not your typical Korean drama love story I must say.
      Bodyguard – action comedy
      Soul – thriller
Kyeong Suk, Kyeong Suk’s Father – a wonderful dark comedy set in the old times (just 4 episodes)

Ah, if you like a CSI type of story, there’s HIT. There’s a bit of a love story on the side but it’s actually more of a “team spirit” story than a love story.

I will recommend Vampire Prosecutor 뱀파이어 검사 , a 12 episodes drama series. A bit of CSI type of series with a twist & loveline is kept to the bare minimum ^^

I’d really love to see more posts from guest bloggers for the Korean learners series. It just pleases me to read about other people’s journey in acquiring Korean. ^^ Also, I really enjoyed reading that post about Korean students having expensive designer bags for school. I’d like to see more posts like that.
