More free Korean reading materials = Happy Shanna
Has anyone noticed a brand new Korean resource in Naver? 😀 Asides from its popular webtoons, NHN has launched the web novel section in early 2013! 😀 I have too much reading material on hand (looks at the stack of novels) to seriously considering adding more to it, but this will be a great (and free) resource for those who are looking into starting their first Korean novel!
The section has a decent (and growing) collection of web novels, and they are usually genre novels such as Romance, SF and fantasy and action! I haven’t read a fantasy novel in Korean, so I’m looking forward to trying one out!
I haven’t read anything from the section, so I can’t exactly give a review / recommendation. Had a quick glance and I will say that the novels aren’t terribly difficult. (I may not be a good judge anymore :P) Should be of a decent level to start out! In any case, I always stand by the idea that you will never be ready until you start, so just pick something and try to read it!

Besides being an awesome resource for us Korean learners, it is a good place for new writers to showcase their work too! ^^ Love the idea 😀

16 February, 2013 at 8:45 PMThere’s no such thing as too many reading materials! Well… technically if there’s stacks of stuff, there kinda is, but we’d never admit to that and would just keep finding more wonderful things. 😀
By the way, would you happen to have any idea on how to print out these with the uh… the little picture thing at the side that lets you know what character is talking? XD I’m printing them out so I can translate and read and take lots of notes, but oi dale… The darn character icons won’t print with it. ;A;
I knew there were the webtoons, but didn’t know about these webnovels. o.o It’s like another language resource goldmine. XD Thanks! 😀

Mmmm not too sure, haven’t tried printing them out. Perhaps you can save it as a pdf file first instead of printing it directly?

18 February, 2013 at 6:34 AMTried it the Google Chrome “Save As PDF” through the print menu way, but no gold. Not even silver. ;A; I think I’m gonna screen cap and crop it instead.
Hopefully this gold mine of reading material will give me a challenge to work with so I pay more attention to Korean. My Japanese is still trying to conquer it. >.> It’s like I pay more attention to whatever challenges me most. XD
