KI-SHUN is a small (but well-stocked) second hand bookstore in Singapore specialising in Japanese novels, non-fiction titles and even manga (!!!).
Located at the basement level of Hong Leong Building in the busy CBD district, it’s not somewhere where you will discover at random while going shopping – you have to know it’s there to go there.
And now that you know it’s there, please go there!
Stepping into the bookstore makes me feel like I’m back in Japan. ❤

I love how these books are like in almost-pristine condition! You can’t even tell that they are second-hand books. Novels are arranged by author names (just like in Japan) and the selection is pretty awesome!
I bought (yet another) 東野 圭吾 book for SGD 6!! What a steal! ^^

I’m itching to get my hands on a few series!! gosh.

p.s. The B1 of Hong Leong Building seems to house quite a number of Japan-related shops. I guess there are quite a number of Japanese companies in the area?

11 December, 2013 at 10:58 PMquestion is are you still going to order books online? I’m such a spendthrift i will wait 2-3 years for the books to appear in nyc book-off lol…. I know if a book came out this year or something (unless it’s ridiculous popular) won’t be in book-off in NYC for a few years, not to mention the price will still be high but definitely nowhere near the online price with the shipping. plus there’s other books to check out in the meantime…

Japanese people/ people reading or learning Japanese must have superior book handling skills or something :S as much as I love Kinokuniya here in Sydney, it’d be nice to have something similar to this store where I live – must start searching around…
