I’ll be posting links to my posts, other random updates and also MORE of my photos! It’s impossible to embed all of them in a post. I’m a total fail at photography, hehe hopefully the beauty of Seoul will make up for my lack of skills! ^^ I’ll be adding captions to them, so each album is like a mini blog post. This will allow me to write about other stuff in my blog instead of explaining each photo!]
Finally embarked on one of my walk-adventures again after so long! The last one was at the alleyways in Hanam and that was ages ago!! ^^ So happy to be spending an afternoon alone ~ I would love to have a partner, but most people don’t appreciate my kind of walks.
[to make up for the lack of posts, this shall be an awesome one with loads of photos! time consuming to write though ㅠㅠ]Visited 한성대입구역 for the first time as I wanted to go for the exhibition in Gangsong Art Museum. That’s another exciting post on its own lol. Went out of exit #5 and follow my adventures!!
Discovered an awesome bakery! Not sure if there are other outlets but Napoleon has awesome baked goods, pastries, cakes etc! It’s a really popular place, judging by the queue at the counters. I’m shy and didn’t dare ask if I could take photos, but trust me. I love baked goods.
If you follow the main road when you come out of exit 5, you should see it within 3 mins.
Here’s some of the stuff I bought! At 3000won, this is NOT cheap, but so good.
Whenever I see a yellow school bus, I’ll be reminded of a certain movie….. 으으. ㅠ
For all other interesting stuff I’ve seen along my way to the museum, check out my facebook page album! (captions included~!)
After going to the museum, I was walking around the neighbourhood. I love how I’ll never get too lost in Seoul with my trusty 네이버 지도 application and also the ability to speak Korean. I was just wandering around and came across this big area called the ambassador road or something. It was a district where all the ambassadors and diplomats live and wow it was an awesome neighbourhood. I see expensive cars and nice houses. oops.
No wonder there were flags everywhere. Here’s Singapore!
Ohh, to sidetrack a little, is anyone confused whether 싱가포르 or 싱가폴 is the right way of spelling our country? 😀 hehe my Korean teacher says 싱가포르 is the correct version!
After a whole day of walking, I was actually very hot. O.o The weather was around 15 degree celsius, but I was sweating -.- I thought I might freeze to death, so I had a padded down jacket on (and I was wearing a tank top inside). I got so hot, and I took off my jacket. Went back to the bakery again to get the above (cold) blueberry puff and a blueberry ice lolly. The lady at the counter gave me a incredulous look and asked 고객님, 안 추우세요? LOL. so hilarious. Everyone along the street was staring at me in my tank top. I think it was pretty obvious I was a foreigner, since I had a camera hanging in front of me. LOL.
For once, I’m wearing thinner compared to the Koreans. hehe
I love love love walking alone. oops. There are some places I’d have like to go (with a partner), but I’m fine walking alone. ^^
haha sorry for the lack of photos. They are all on facebook anyway 😀 hehe. I shall write more instead~.
Please check out the album for another ‘mini blog post’ ^^
