Bad Korean days

[written a few days ago]

Foreign languages are like hair. There are bad hair days, so there are bad language days too. Pfft. And there are bad pun days too D:

It feels so weird that my Korean abilities fluctuate quite a lot on a daily basis. Not just my speaking ability as in the content and fluency, but also my pronunciation and intonation. It’s really weird, cos it’s not like I feel less confident on certain days or that I’m tired. But somehow i’ll just trip over my words. I’m not going to read too much into it though. Dont think it’s considered as a sign that my Korean is deteriorating.

Hehe and I noticed that my Korean pronunciation gets very English-accented when I throw in a Korean phrase or two in an English sentence. Maybe my mind needs time to switch hahaha

This is 2nd day with the Optimus G and I still can’t stop gushing over it. I consider that as a good sign. But I don’t think I can look at my current phone the same way again after being spoilt by this device lol. I’m going to be so sad when I part with this phone lol. BTW I’m blogging from the phone now. And enjoying the comfort of lying on my bed instead of having a backache in front of the computer.

Here’s a photo of a tree.Just because I feel like using the camera but have nothing interesting to take. I miss Korea.

Those “argh sharks!!” moments when someting in a weird accent comes out. Makes you feel like burying your face in the ground for a while aye? XD

I can’t really talk about Korean since I don’t learn it but the same happens to with English. Somedays, my French accent is so strong I rather not speak at all.

You will go back to Korea one day. Isn’t it one of your goal for the year/

Good thing some of us like bad puns then, right? XD Being a beginner I don’t think I’ve noticed that before. Every day is a bad language day for me, haha. XD But it makes sense and I will remember this for the future. ^^

The picture is really pretty! It’s so clear!

I know what you mean by a bad Korean day! When I was learning Japanese, there were definitely days I just somehow couldn’t pronounce the words…On a related note, I’ve been trying to work on my Korean pronunciation lately, but I haven’t seen much improvement. When did you feel that you could speak Korean with a decent accent?
