Yay! So I’ve finished the 28th TOPIK practice paper over a span of three days. I time and mark myself every 10 questions (except for listening section), but I will finish one section at one go. Then I’ll review the section when it’s fresh in my memory. Well, some people will say that doing it this way is different from doing everything at one go. I do agree, but it still shows me where my standard is and what my weaknesses are. I build my ‘korean stamina’ through other ways, not by doing practice papers.
In any case, I do feel that my Korean proficiency has improved over the year. It’s almost one year from the time I took the 26th Advanced Paper, and it does feel like the paper is more doable. Or maybe it’s just that the 28th is easier? lol I dunno.
Here’s a breakdown of my scores.
어휘 및 문법 (Vocabulary & Grammar)
Qn 1 – 10: 5 mins (1 wrong)
Qn 11 – 20: 5 mins (2 wrong)
Qn 21 – 30: 6 mins (3 wrong)
16 mins, 80/100
Qn 31 – Qn 40: 1 wrong (9mins)
Qn 41 – Qn 43: 5 mins
Can’t judge the non MCQ questions, so…
36 / 40
Qn 1 – Qn 10: 1 wrong
Qn 11 – Qn 20: 2 wrong
Qn 21 – Qn 30: 2 wrong
Qn 31 – Qn 40: 8 min (all correct)
Qn 41 – 50: 11 min (all correct)
Qn 51 – 60: 11 min (3 wrong)
30 mins, 90/100
Not bad right!!! 😀 I passed TOPIK 6 standard!! hahahaha.
Happy. As usual, the vocabulary/grammar section is still my weakest section, so I’ll have to work doubly hard on that. Super surprised at my 읽기 section. Breezed through the first 20 questions and it’s only the last 2 passages that I get a bit of the ‘what am i reading’ feeling. But nevertheless, I still understood the passages. All that reading practice must have helped! 😀 I’m reading a lot faster too.
Listening was tiring. -.- The passages themselves get progressively harder and the choices are sometimes tricky. ><; Need to improve.
hehe in any case, my timings are pretty good too. At this rate I’ll have a lot of spare time lol.
A decent improvement from the real 26th TOPIK results.
