참을 수 없는 더위

SO DAMN HOT. It feels like the height of summer these days and basically my brain is a pile of mush. Unmotivated to do anything. Sorry if I haven’t been replying to any mails, comments, tweets etc. I’m in a zombie state. Not likely to reply to anything soon. If you need some urgent help, ermm keep sending until I’m forced to reply 😀

Hopefully May will be more awesome.

I haven’t been studying or practicing Korean and I’m going to pay dearly for my laziness in a week or so. More on that next time (:

Finishing the last chapter of the KUJAP book but wonder how much I managed to retain in my brain.

And this heatwave is no joke. Might have to drag myself out to get some ice cream.

Craving a whole jug of 시원한 맥주.

Missed my long daily walks but I’ll turn into a dried slug if I attempt to walk anywhere in this weather. 곧 끝날 거야.

    Hi Shanna,

You are lucky to have a hot weather. In New York, it very cold right now, I wonder when the hot tempereatures will come.

I have a question about Japanese: I am intersted in learning Japanese on my own, but I have no idea where to start. I haven’t started with the alphabet yet- so I can’t read it.

Can you recommend any beginners textbooks, and pronunciation audio for english speakers ?

    Thanks
    Valerie

      Hi Valerie!

When it gets up to 30 degrees at night, I feel lethargic. D: mmm the starting point is always the most difficult. I don’t really know any good Japanese textbooks in English.. the most popular ones seem to be Genki but I dont use them. http://nihongo-e-na.com/eng/ this page has loads of good resources, search it and see if you can find something that suits you ^^ I learnt basic Japanese in a classroom so I don’t really know any good materials from scratch.

I agree with 칼라, it is also so hot here in the Philippines. Good thing it is not so humid so even if we sweat, it is not that sticky. Yesterday was the first day of May and we had our first May shower so people were a bit happy. 😀 Good luck to us coping with the heat.

I wouldn’t say I love hot and humid weather, but here in London we could do with a bit more sun. The weather this year has been strange. It feels like autumn has arrived.

This is my first comment to your blog^^ and it’s about weather….lol nice first impression heh ^o^
