3 In Others / General

So… I was sorely disppointed over something, but it’s not like I didn’t see it coming.

And yes, it’s a cryptic post.

How does it feel to be eyeing and aiming for years and to get your hopes crushed completely? Second time that I’ve felt this crushing disappointment. No tears this time, I still remembered how badly I cried the first time it had happened. But strangely, I feel (mostly) ok today. I cannot decide if it’s becuase I didn’t work hard enough or if it’s simply not my route to take.

I really don’t know.

It doesn’t seem like I’m getting anywhere near the picture I have painted of myself at 30 yrs old. Oh well. What can I say?

I’m really curious if you guys turn out the way you envision yourself to be? Hahaha how come it’s never the case for me. 😒

Growing up is so… tough that it’s fascinating :/

The next step I’m going to take will throw my life into more confusion. 😣 And I wonder why I would still do it.

I wonder.

Don’t feel bad, I don’t think anyone really turns out the way they plan. I had finished my bucket list by the time I was 21, but I found out it wasn’t as wonderful as I thought it was going to be. Living abroad for a year and learning a new language… yes that was great. But, I still had to work while I was there and go to school, and that is a hassle no matter what country you live in. Then I had a family and thought it would be like “It’s a Wonderful Life” and all my kids would grow up and we’d have great loving family reunions. Not even, the spouse left and got a new wife, the kids grew up dissatisfied with me, and bye-bye wonderful reunions. Did I study my languages? you bet and yes, I still do and yes I watch dramas and telenovelas for fun because of them. But ending up living alone and reading about other ppl studying languages was never in the game plan, lol. So, yes, other people aren’t quite satisfied with how their lives are going. But I keep telling myself that it isn’t over yet and a new fun opportunity might pop up.
