Weekend Blues.

27 January, 2013

Feeling pretty down these few days and I’m in that denial mood again. o.O Wasn’t very happy about a few things but decided to forget about them. I used to be a lot more open to changes, challenges, tasks to complete etc but nowadays I get days when I just totally want to pretend that none of them exist. I think I’m at the period when I’m feeling damn lost and I guess Korean is probably the only constant in my life that’s keeping grounded and not go crazy. I hope this phase will pass soon. It feels like shit to be dreading so much stuff. wtf.

Had a nice meal with friends and it’s been pretty long since I last had such a nice meal lol. Feeling too broke most of the days. There was some deal going on so we went for a tim sum buffet 😀

Drunken Chicken was damn good.

Siew Mais are not my favorite dim sum dishes but this was pretty good!

I could much on these all day…. But the ones there weren’t that good. XD

Food photography doesn’t seem to be my kind of thing. Ohwell, it’s a refreshing break from my Korean handwriting photos at least! 😛

It’s Sunday. My favorite day of the week. Because there’s 2D1N on KBS World.

These food pictures make me soooo hungry >< hahaha. 배고파요 ㅋㅋ but i can't eat since it's 11pm ㅠㅠ and also I think you made a typo? i think you meant "phase" not "phrase"? if it's not a typo, sorry!
      Anyways cheer up!!!!

      1. oops thanks for pointing that out! Changed it XD hehe I have bad grammar and spelling most of the days 😛 Never proofread my entries ^^;;

hehe writing the post made me hungry too! Hope you are having a good weekend!

        1. you’re welcome! hahaha me too 😀 and i know how you feel, i just type quickly and throw grammar and spelling out the window xD (i often leave out words also but then i forgot i have to correct it because they are not native english speakers) anyways i’ll keep a lookout for your entries ^^

thanks! my weekend was okay besides that lunar new year coming up soon~ i hope you had a good weekend also!

    1. Quarter life crisis haha. I’m at a similar age and I feel hopelessly lost sometimes too. But it passes, sometimes we just need some time to get away from our thoughts, spend time with friends. And not to be intruding, but have you thought of pursuing a career in Korean interpretation or translation? I can’t think of anything that would suit you better 🙂 but then again, Im just someone who reads ur blogs, I don’t know you personally, maybe another career would suit you better. Sorry for such a long winded comment, I’m just trying to help, not pry haha 🙂

      1. hahaha a total crisis. Mmm I did think of it, but translation can be so frustrating at times that I wonder if I can do it as a full time career. Never tried interpretation though 😛 But the demand for Korean translators here is … either non existent or I simply don’t know about it. Majority of the demand are for Japanese translators. hehe I’m actually really curious what you guys think I can do, so no worries! 😛

    1. We all go through those phases. A good meal can cure almost everything!
P.S. You may not think that food photography is your thing but those pictures just inspired me to try to cook something new 🙂

      1. hehe what are you thinking of cooking? 😀 A good meal makes me so much happier! 😀

        1. I was thinking of making 2 types of gyoza (pork and vegetarian) and one type siew mai next week 🙂 I cannot get wonton wrappers in any of my local stores so I will have to make a little detour to an Asian store one of these upcoming days. With my untrained hands those few things will probably take long enough to make! Tonight’s plan is home-made spring rolls 😀 if I make a big batch, I suppose I can freeze some un-cooked ones and add them to the menu next week as well 🙂 any tips for filling for the gyoza or siew mai? 🙂

          1. wow sounds good! hehe I like gyozas with prawn filling! Koreans like to put in 당면 too 😀
