5 In Korean learning journey (:

Sorry for the slow responses to comments/mails. Been feeling lazy for the past few weeks. School and drama-watching have been consuming all my time xD

Since I’m starting to learn Japanese in school, I’ve been spending slightly more effort on it and Korean has taken a backseat for now. Not sure how far my Japanese study will proceed, but for now at least, I’m serious about it. Interest really helps. (: On several past occasions, I thought of picking up Japanese but never take a step forward due to a lack of real interest. Maybe I will even start documenting my Japanese learning journey from now! ^^

I will try to spend some time on Korean still, since I’m far from being good.

Sometimes I really admire people who can put in their utmost in things that they really want to have or achieve. I can never do that. I do put in effort at times, but never tried my best. I find that tiring and 귀찮다 (to use a more appropriate word).

Just finished watching Hotaru no Hikari 2 and I think I’m like Hotaru in some ways. I love lazying around the house and finds putting effort in things tiring. I share her views on quite a number of subjects too (:

Been carrying the past yr TOPIK advanced paper around with me these days. To remind myself how much harder I have to work to reach that standard. hahaha.

Shanna, you’ve managed to self-study all the way through intermediate TOPIK and placement into Advanced Level 2 at Yonsei! You are amazing. I think your “not best” is still incredible. Good luck with your Japanese!

Thanks for the compliment! ^^ I used to be more hardworking but somehow I can never get back to that state of mind nowadays. >,< How are you progressing with the integrated korean books? ^^

        Hi Shanna

Are you referring to the Klear textbooks mentioned in your resources page? You borrowed them from library? Wonder if Kino sells?

I am really finding the integrated korean books very useful. I like the fact that each chapter has a theme with a corresponding vocab list, dialogues, and narratives. It makes it so much easier to learn new words. I also like the grammar explanation, and , especially, the grammar index. Thank you again for such a good recommendation! (I only wish my weekly Korean class used that series instead of Sogang.)
