As mentioned before, I’m now paying alot more attention to my pronunciation and trying to fine tune it. A Korean friend recently told me that I was pronouncing extra 받침s that weren’t supposed to be there! OMG. >,< But I’m so glad he pointed that out, and now I’m paying more attention to it.
Let me show you what I mean.
턱없이 –> [터겁시] [턱겁시]손으로 –> [소느로] [손느로]
You see what I mean now? ): The ones in red are how I pronounced it sometimes! Just sharing this in case anyone else have the same mistake as me! ^^ 역시 한국어 최고!!!

Anw I have been feeling tired and unmotivated these days. Sometimes I think I simply don’t care about school anymore. Was looking at some schoolwork and felt so frustrated that I decided to look at Korean instead. And all my bad mood vanished entirely! ^^

5 February, 2011 at 1:03 PMI recently made an embarrassing mistake in class by reading 닭갈비 as it is. It’s really embarrassing. Especially when I know how it should be read in the first place.
I have a tendency to read it how it is spelled in my mind (to remind me of the spelling, just like how I did it with English sometimes) that’s why maybe it slipped when I was reading out loud. a Korean friend even ‘praised’ me for spelling it correctly when she was dictation a song lyrics with 닭 on it. She said most foreigners would have made a mistake. A fellow Korean learner (who’s more fluent in speaking than I am – she’s been to Korea as an exchange student for a year) often say that her writing skills are so bad, and I’m better than her, especially when it comes to spelling. But I totally suck in speaking. I really must practice speaking more and reading aloud.
