I cant decide if Im actually missing the country, the memories I had there or simply the better version of myself that simply dont appear when Im in SG.
Perhaps a little of each. I think this year is really the first time in 6 yrs that I feel the least connected to the country, both physically and mentally.
I made the decision (or was it due to circumstances) to stay here, but I dont exactly feel rooted. In any case, I’m starting to miss Korea again hahaha so my favorite cheap thrill thing to do is to make my day very… Korean.
Just went to the mart and bought Korean snacks, cup ramen and kimchi. Hahahaha I kinda felt like laughing when I saw my basket until I got reminded of fond memories in Homeplus and then I didnt feel like laughing anymore haha.
Went to Paris Baguette to buy dinner and decided to also splurge on a piece of cake. Trying to tell myself that I deserve it cos it’s my birthday month. I think Im going to use that excuse for the entire month even though Im totally not a birthday person. :/ The whole Korean VS international age difference made me so confused, sometimes I dont even remember my age.
Anyway, Im highly addicted to Glorious Day, a completed weekend drama that is really awesomeeee. I love long dramas because it feels like Im experiencing the drama tgt with the characters when they grow on you and there is more time for character development. Then again, I hate it when such dramas turn out to have convoluted makjang plots and dragging misunderstandings and milking it for its worth. I want prolonged cute, not prolonged angst.
Thankfully Glorious Day is full of cute and my mum had to stop me from squealing like a crazy girl time to time. (Im such a 宅女)
Im also madly invested in the Mix and Match program – the survival program to debut YG’s new boy group IKON.
6 of the trainees were the original team b boys from WIN and 3 new ones were added. I love love love hanbin and bobby and donghyuk. I know it’s a program and all, but I never fail to be amazed by their talents and the amt of effort they put in. I know it’s strange but i love seeing hanbin teach his teammates choreography and being the leader. And i love seeing him scold them lolol. >< Mix and match made me notice yunhyeong 😀 they all improved so much over the year. I dunno why there are many ppl hating on donghyuk because I love his voice so much and somehow I just get the impression that he is really really hardworking and strive to put on his very best in every single moment - especially when I watch the individual cams from the final match. Even though he's at the back, he still puts in his best. Hahaha. See, there is so much to learn from fangirling lol. So much respect for them. Cant wait to hear more songs from them. My current favs are Long Time No See and Wait for me. SINSOSIJAK is awesome for the dance and Bobby's rap. I love a particular line lol. Im going to watch the Korean speech contest this sat at Singapore Korean School!!! If you see me please say hiiiiiii (: [Post is written across a few days]
