Should I move my blog?

I’m so irritated over the fact that I can’t change the html code in wordpress without paying. Thus, I’m thinking of switching to blogspot. Here’s a few alternatives I’m thinking of

1. Move the entire blog over to blogspot

but one problem is that I dunno how to move all my archives over. ><

2. Keep this blog for korean entertainment news and switch my language blog over to blogspot

3. Just stay put

So what should I do? But I’m so busy these days and I’m supposed to start studying for TOPIK. Is it a good time to move now? hmmm

Update:

wow I exported everything to blogger already. But I’m still deliberating over the move. (I don’t want to lose readers! XD ) I’m leaning more to option #2 and I’m publishing all those posts related to language and korean learning.

anyway most of the traffic here is generated by korean entertainment news, so I guess it won’t hurt if I move my language learning stuff elsewhere?

Since I will be starting uni as a linguistics major in august, I’ll probably be blogging alot more on linguistics and stuff. So will it be more apt to create a new blog for it?

(haha it seems like I’m psychoing myself in favor of the move)

I’m still deliberating. Fickle-minded.

anyway here’s the link to my language blog (not yet completed)

Since your schedule is so hectic, I think you should just stick with this blog for now. I dont see anything wrong with the way you have the html now. and in fact, i very much like the format. it is simple and clean. and also thanks for your updates on your learning journey and the entertainment/music news. gotta love celebrities ^_~

hey thanks for the opinion ^^ I thought it might be a little confusing to lump everything into a blog.
(actually my main motivation is that I wanna add a korean radio widget on my blog)

I will try to update more often! ^^

There’s an easier way and you can still get to use wordpress. Have you seen my site, oh.bee? Here’s the link: http://owbee.isgreat.org/

I signed up at http://byethost.com/index.php/free-hosting for a free hosting. All you need is a gmail account and fill in the required info. Then log-in and install wordpress using fantastico. And that’s it, you’re done.

To transfer your posts (with comments included) you just need to go to tools, click export and download an export file. After that log-in to the installed wordpress @ byethost and go to tools, click import. and that’s it. You’re site is up and running again.

You can also download themes and plugins, customize your side bar, make your own banner, etc.

You can also place the korean radio widget you want. ^^

    I hope I helped you.

wow that’s cool! (: But I’ve decided to split this blog into 2 and blogspot seems easy and user-friendly enough for me.

I shall continue using wordpress for translating entertainment articles.

      here’s my language blog! http://seoulareyou.blogspot.com/

I made the move from Blogspot to WordPress software (the actual php software you can manipulate, not WordPress.com, I actually chose blogspot over WordPress.com). One thing that really helped me moving my blog over was to switch the RSS feed to FeedBurner. It makes it so you can have a feed URL which doesn’t depend on where the blog actually is. Users can subscribe to your feed on this site and they’ll still get the latest feeds when you’ve switched to writing over at blogspot.
