As some of you may already know, I’m totally into Japanese these days ❤ I’ll credit the sudden interest to Bloody Monday and Narimiya Hiroki, but yet it’s not entirely so. I’m just super happy reading and listening to the Japanese language, all of a sudden. hahaha. I’m even starting to like Japanese music. As I’m typing this, I’m listening to J-drama OSTs 😀
I’ve actually been in my self-created Japanese immersion environment for the past week.
1. phone in Japanese now
2. listening to Japanese podcasts (坂本真綾 from Everywhere) while doing work
3. watching Japanese dramas
4. listening to Japanese OST when I feel lazy
5. studying Japanese – reading Narimaya Hiroki’s interviews and watching his videos ❤
hahaha why am I so crazy. Yeah, my immersion environment. (: Amber lent me a damn awesome Japanese grammar dictionary that covers the grammar points from N5 to N1 and has explanations in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean!!! 😀 😀 Can’t believe that I actually enjoy reading a grammar dictionary (!!). I can’t even do that for the Korean one I have. Okay, maybe I like the structure of the Japanese dictionary better.
Still trying to figure out why I’m loving Japanese so much now. I think one reason is that I’m at that “spurt growth stage” (I think). My basics are somewhat there and this is the period when I’m picking up a lot of things fast and it’s also the “grammar structure” period for me. I’m totally sounding like a language nerd here but I LOVEEE learning grammar. 😛 Loving the challenging of the “somewhat intermediate” stage – I no longer feel lost but there’s soooo much to learn. Okay this is hard to explain. But it’s my favorite stage of language learning hahaha. Miss this kind of challenge (: Not that Korean is no longer a challenge for me, it’s just a different kind!
In any case, I’ll work hard. ^_____^ Right now, my goal is for my Japanese to reach my current Korean standard (:
Just like the case with Korean, there’s no reason why I’m learning Japanese. I just love the language and want to learn more. それだけ。
