Studying Japanese right now.
People sometimes tell me that I have a talent for learning languages. But I feel that I don’t really deserve the compliment. So far, I’ve been learning Korean and Japanese. Which are languages that I kinda have an unfair (?) advantage in because I know both English and Mandarin Chinese, which is a huge help. And Korean is an even bigger help when it comes to Japanese.
Maybe I should go learn a language that is totally new to me. Like Russian?
I admire Westerners who are good in Japanese. I don’t think I will ever master the Kanji if I don’t know Chinese in the first place.
Just random thoughts.
That being said, one week left in Korea.

21 July, 2012 at 12:30 AMHello! I have been learning Japanese for about two years now and I’m not Chinese educated so I have no Chinese basic. Kanji has been really hard for me and I still find it hard now. T__T How do you learn japanese? through websites or you have specific books?

12 August, 2012 at 1:03 AMKanji really isn’t as hard as people make it out to be. I never had any background with it and I learning it just fine. I guess it really all depends on how you choose learn it. Russian huh? Sounds interesting!
