One more blog to add to my collection. I’ve been told countless times that I have too many blogs 😛 But if each blog is in a different language, then it should be alright, no? 😀
I’m kinda proud of myself that I’ve taken the plunge to actually create a Japanese blog when my Japanese is no where near any minimal standard. I didn’t have much problems with creating the account but I was kinda lost at first. Did my research and it seems that Ameba is pretty popular with the Japanese and they had quite a lot of interesting services and functions there.
Navigating a site in a new language is a very fun thing to do. As you explore the site, you will subconsciously learn words like ‘next’, ‘confirm’, ‘login’ etc that is common in sites. And I learnt a few other new phrases too. ^^ I don’t know anyone at Ameba yet, anyone wants to be my friend? 😀 😀
MY AMEBA BLOG | AMEBA NOW (Twitter-like service)
I hope to make some new Japanese friends. But seems harder than it looks. lol. I’m pretty much self entertaining on Ameba right now ><
I don’t really know what I’ll write about there, maybe about learning Japanese?
Hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with the blog even when I get busy. I’m really surprised that I managed to write here for 3 years already. It’s because I have you guys here (:
If you have been a silent reader, leave a comment! Saying Hi will do 😀 If you are studying Japanese too, let’s talk over at Ameba!
p.s. Pardon my horrible Japanese! ^^

21 April, 2012 at 12:40 AMHello:) I opened a blog at ameba when I first started to learn Japanese but kind of neglect it as time passes by… There is a virtual world at ameba where you can interact with other people and play games there. There are also various communities there to join and there are some that is open for all that is interested in learning the korean language to join.
I love reading your post on your Japanese learning journey:) It alwaysnake me reflect on my own learning journey too:)

So studying Japanese on and off for probably more than 10 years, I can barely take the level 3 JLPT exam. Though anime and J-dramas have helped improve my vocabulary, it’s a complete fail when it comes to reading. Especially Kanji.
I guess it’s a plus for you that you can somewhat guess the meaning of the characters and you have some kind of background in Chinese characters. I study them and since I’m not really exposed to it, I end up forgetting.
Right, I need motivation to progress in Japanese and Korean. I really wanted to take the JLPT 2 (that is the advanced level one I think) in December, but as time goes by and I barely have time to study, I guess I’ll be happy to achieve level 3. XD I think you’ve been making great progress.
Well hopefully I will be happy to take intermediate TOPIK next year. XD Guess it will be good to test my knowledge after 4 years of studies. XD

23 April, 2012 at 12:23 AMI didn’t know you studied Japanese too! Reading is probably my strongest skill; I’m horrible at listening and I doubt I can say anything at the moment. xD Right now I don’t have any plans to take JLPT, but maybe that will change when I get better at it.
TOPIK is pretty fun (:
