Looking for rental apartments in Seoul?

[Advertorial – but I’m not paid to write this]

Housing is always an important thing to consider when visiting a foreign country. I have always been receiving emails on what kind of housing is suitable for a short term stay in Korea. Hotels? – too expensive Homestay? – hard to get on a short time notice Gositel? – hard to navigate through the Korean sites Guesthouse? – which are the decent ones?

Hailey contacted me about a few rental apartments that she and her friends are running. Private, affordable apartments suitable for a group of friends / a family visiting Seoul for a short period of time. I think it looks pretty awesome, so I agreed to introduce them on my blog 😀

I and my close friends are running a few rental apartments. They are all entire flats with your own bathroom and kitchen. It’s so much nicer and cheaper than most guesthouses but not many people know the P2P rental websites such as Airbnb, Wimdu, Bnbhero. For example, a group of 3 friends will go to Hostels.com, Hostelbookers.com, etc. to find a very small room for three at USD 80 while sharing the bathroom and living room space with at least 10 other guests. With same or less money, they can book a much higher quality room with privacy.

Sounds great right? Here’s a look at their rooms!

Hailey has also created a website to make it more convenient for you! If you are looking for long term housing, you might want to try to contact her. Maybe she will be able to offer you something 😀

And for all readers, there’s a special deal 😀 Mention ‘Hangukdrama and Korean’ when you do your booking and you will get 10% off!

Cool – I’ve been seriously considering renting an apartment (even tho it is just me) on my vacation.
Most of them are in locations, I’m not interested in (I don’t party and Hongdae seems like party central), but I will check them out.

I agree that Hongdae is more than just partying. Hongdae is a wonderfully artsy neighborhood with not only a commercial one but also an alternative culture. Most neighborhoods revolve around the local universities. Resulting in lots of cool restaurants, cafes, boutiques, bars and activities(such as the Hongdae Free Market and performances in Hongdae playground) nearby.

Ohh this is a good recommendation! I was in Korea in May with some friends and the room we rented was really far from central Seoul and we spent a lot of time on the subway -_- Bookmarking for future trips, thanks! 🙂

Kinokuniya bookstore at Ngee Ann city. but REALLY expensive. I still think it is best to buy from gmarket if you really need them. Have fun in Singapore though!!
