Was studying Korean and got bored, so looked through my computer and found this 자기소개 in Japanese that I did to prepare for the oral exam in my Japanese class in university. LOL.
Since it was for an exam, not everything is the truth. ^^
So here’s the random audio blog.
Listening to myself again…. I think I sounded terrible -____- Awfully awkward.
And I think I got worse from the last time I tried to read something in Japanese. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Feedback and criticism most welcome! 😀
Random sushi photo 😀 😀 냠냠
Random declaration: I aim to show everyone that self studying Korean AND Japanese is possible. And I aim to be erm conversational in Japanese without having gone to Japan. HAHAHHAHA.
yeahhh. 자신감 is very important. LOL.

23 November, 2012 at 11:16 PMhahaha. i thought so too. not that i can do any better than Shanna. I’m actually very envious right now. How i wish i can do as much with my Japanese because I’ve just made myself a 왕따 in our class for not understanding a thing. My classmates are learning about the short forms and quoted speeches while I just finished remembering all my hiragana. Yes, just hiragana. How many days I need to remember my katakana, i do not know! huhuhu

24 November, 2012 at 12:36 PMI used to think so too. In my head Japanese sounds more angular and Korean sounds more smooth. If that makes any sense… Which I doubt it does.

24 November, 2012 at 4:43 PMIt does make sense… coz that’s how I think too. XD
Japanese is “sharper” (or as you’ve said, angular) and Korean is “softer”. And I have a tendency to “soften” my Japanese whenever I try speaking it.

24 November, 2012 at 9:29 PMI’m ashamed of myself ’cause you are working so hard and you are catching up to my level sobs. You are doing really good atm hun! Only the intonation is a wee bit of a problem! Don’t be too hard on yourself! ^ ^

15 January, 2013 at 7:42 PM1st – I’d love to buy & read your ebook on learning korean!
2nd – I’m a native English speaker teaching in Korea, and only know pre-intermediate japanese, and am currently in the elementary level of korean, but when I try to speak Korean to Korean natives, they say my pronunciation sounds Japanese! @_@ They always tell me that my intonations are all off–that there’s too much up-and-downs in my vocal tones. So, try adding more emotion to your Japanese and/or copy the up-and-downs from Jpn actresses in Jdramas to sound more native.
Speaking of Jdramas, you must watch these 3 if you haven’t already:
1) Hana yori dango 1 & 2
2) Proposal Daisakusen (way better than the Krn remake)
3) Otoko Densha
g’luck studying! がんばってね!~^^
