The only times I have such long lasting relationships is probably with inanimate objects oops.
6 years of my life with the blog. (:
This online space has seen the best and worst of me.. and all the in between.
Every year, I’m just sooo thankful for all the inspiration, motivation and positive energies I’ve received here.
Hopefully this blog has given you some positive energy too!
“Being good” at something is borne out of an immense amount of effort. It’s easy to attribute it to smartness, luck, opportunities, timing, talent and what not. I cannot deny that these factors do play a part but it still boils down to pure hard work.
It may look effortless to you but you simply do not see the effort or choose not to.
Once read from somewhere that people like to attribute “being good” to talent because it’s easier to blame an external factor rather than acknowledging the fact that you simply didn’t put in enough effort. Lacking talent sounds more “justifiable” rather than not putting in effort.
I need to find that quote again.
