First Talk on Language Learning

A quick one!

Thank you to the people who stopped by / came to listen to my talk on foreign language learning! 😀 I was totally prepared to be talking to a lone audience ><

I’m not much of a public speaker but I tried my best and I think I did ok!

Very very very grateful to those who actually stayed back after the talk to ask me questions!!! I hope I managed to help a little!

There were a few who requested that I put up my slides. I’ve uploaded them on dropbox, please feel free to download them here for your own personal viewing. You are free to share the LINK with your friends, but please do not upload them anywhere else k!

My email inbox always welcome new messages! 😀

Can I know more about your internship at the Korean company? How did you get that opportunity? ^^

    Hi Shanna,

I sent an email awhile ago but it may have been while you were in Japan. I recently saw the Yonsei 3 week series on TwoChois and wanted to know if you’ve heard of these or plan to review them in the future? The revamp they did a few years ago looks great. I included links to all books in my email.

Also, when you were transitioning from beginner to intermediate did you have trouble with listening and word order? I am studying for the listening portion of the TOPIK beginner test now and realize that, as an English native, I don’t have a great understanding of Korean word order. This leads to my lack of ability to translate and understand the dialogue.

    Best,

I am a beginner in the Korean language but I would like to get a book to keep me motivated to learning Korean. What was the first book you read and what do you recommend for a newbie like me ^^

Hello! The first book I bought was actually on motherhood (hahahaha okay I didn’t know what I was buying then) but the first book I read was Big Bang’s autobiography 세상에 너를 소리쳐! Very inspiring and it made me like them a lot (:
