3 In Japanese learning journey (:/ Korean learning journey (:

February language goals

Monthly goals are more achievable!

Try to finish reading Psycho Pass 2, or at least finish 2/3 of it.

Immerse myself in Japanese everyday (animeeeeeee). To escape reality and to fangirl over all the voice actors. In case you dont know, I have a thing for awesome voices lol.

N2 grammar. To be honest, I find learning Japanese grammar a chore :/ They all look so similar. >< But that's totally my fault for trying to learn new grammar points from a N2 preparatory book. I need the Japanese equivalent of Yonsei textbooks!!!! Write on lang-8. Hahahahahahahahahaha. I think I wont fufill this lol Korean

Tuttle publishing sent me a couple of their books!

I’ve been wanting to read Korea: The Impossible Country for ages and now this book is my bedtime and morning reading. I’ll read for an hour before I sleep and around 30 mins in the morning! I’m already pass the halfway mark and this is definitely a MUSTBUY. Review and giveaway to come soon!!

Watch KBS news. Once or twice a week (when I dont feel like dying after work), I’ll watch KBS news on their site (the 다시보기) section. My preference is the 9pm news and I love how they have separate videos for each piece of news complete with the transcript!!! Totally awesome for advanced learners (: more on that next time.

Read in Korean. I own too few novels and read too little. As of now, I read more in Japanese than I do Korean. :/

Listen to more trot music. ^^ I care very little about kpop these days (unless its yg – IKONNNNNNNN) so yep I’ve returned to the 50s.

Write more. Ahahahaahahah again another goal I’ll probably end up not completing.

7th year into learning Korean and 3rd into Japanese. Spent the prime of my youth (lol) on these languages and will continue to do so!!

On a side note, I’ve been invited to give a small talk on language learning (!!!) at a convention in Suntec and also participate in a panel discussion on language learning. Super hyped!!!! I’ll have to prep slides and think of what to share!! The audience will probably be people who are keen to take up a foreign language or newbie learners or just people who wanna find out more (or passers-by lol)

Give me some ideas!! What would you like to know in such a talk? Please give me some suggestions! ^^
