finally back on some non-kpop wednesdays! Well.. G.O.D is kinda kpop? Just in a different era. haha. Anyway I love this song, especially when it was referenced in my fav drama, Fantasy Couple! I still remember the scene. 철수 and 상실 was in the car and the song started playing. And 상실 was annoyed when the lyrics came on and the mum hated jjajangmyeon. And she was like HOW CAN ANYONE HATE IT? And 철수 had to explain the story behind to her.. which naturally she doesn’t comprehend.
It’s a damn sad song. And a song that all Koreans will know ^^
Reply Me 1997 has definitely revived my love for the pop in the 80s and 90s. Dare I say I love that era even more than the kpop now? I’m actually sick of kpop now. Everything sounds pretty much formulaic and the same. Sure, I’ll still take notice if some of the older groups like DBSK, f(x) etc comes out with something. But beyond that, I don’t really care anymore. I’m actually unaware of many of the new groups around.
Here’s sharing some oldies! ^^ Actually, it’s a good way of practicing your listening and pronunciation. Since the songs are much slower and each syllable is pronounced more clearly. I don’t think all the raps in kpop is going to be much help and most beginner learners are unlike to catch the words and the sounds.
Love the lyrics and the song (: They are seriously underrated.
hahaha those who know me will know that I love love love Fatdoo and all his works! ^^
I love how they have included English lyrics (that are accurate)! Fatdoo usually incorporate a story into his songs and it will be a shame if people missed the story because they are unable to read Korean ^^
One of them sounds a little like G-Dragon, and I loved it xD The song is catchy, not really mainstream kpop but not really indie too.
hahaha oops I know the last one was ‘non-kpop monday’, but I forgot to blog on monday. So it shall be a weekly wednesday feature from now on!
Bada is from S.E.S, so that makes her part of kpop I guess. But this song is. G.E.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. I doubt anyone can listen to it and not get goosebumps.
Kpop is over-dominating the music scene in Korea and although most of us are introduced to the world of k-music via Kpop, I hope to introduce some ‘underrated/unheard of’ artistes here. ^^ I’ve posted on k-indie a few times alr, but I hope to make this a common feature of the blog (: Why Monday? hahaha no idea, it just happens that I’m writing this today and it’s a Monday.
THis is the first time I’ve heard of Attore Divo and they are seriously underrated. This song has a fairytale feel to it (: Don’t you think so? ^^
Rimi and Gamja are the best combo ever! I don’t think they are very ‘mainstream’ but Rimi is one of my fav female rappers. Their songs are usually ‘weird’ and there’s quite abit of coarse language (in some of their songs). But very addictive ^^
I’m also expanding my music tastes, if you have any good non-kpop song to recommend, do let me know ^^
