hahaha those who know me will know that I love love love Fatdoo and all his works! ^^
I love how they have included English lyrics (that are accurate)! Fatdoo usually incorporate a story into his songs and it will be a shame if people missed the story because they are unable to read Korean ^^
Kpop is over-dominating the music scene in Korea and although most of us are introduced to the world of k-music via Kpop, I hope to introduce some ‘underrated/unheard of’ artistes here. ^^ I’ve posted on k-indie a few times alr, but I hope to make this a common feature of the blog (: Why Monday? hahaha no idea, it just happens that I’m writing this today and it’s a Monday.
THis is the first time I’ve heard of Attore Divo and they are seriously underrated. This song has a fairytale feel to it (: Don’t you think so? ^^
Rimi and Gamja are the best combo ever! I don’t think they are very ‘mainstream’ but Rimi is one of my fav female rappers. Their songs are usually ‘weird’ and there’s quite abit of coarse language (in some of their songs). But very addictive ^^
I’m also expanding my music tastes, if you have any good non-kpop song to recommend, do let me know ^^
I have found my weird song of the month! ^^ Love this! I think it got its inspiration from the ‘chants’ from drinking games. The lyrics are super cute! Look out for the reference on 2AM. hehe

Some of you may know that I’m a big fan of Big Bang but the truth is that I love and listen more to indie pop compared to the popular pop. Big Bang is in a separate category since the boys are sooo talented and awesome
Anyway indie bands are undervalued and most people, including Koreans, don’t really know about them. So here’s some of my all time favs and also some new finds ^^
Biuret is a all girls indie band and also the my first exposure to Korean indie music. The girls have powerful vocals and the their lyrics are inspiring.
The epitome of good music + entertainment. The songs have some common qualities: weird/cute narratives, sound effects, entertaining lyrics and a story behind each song. You get quite a bit of course language here too, but I love it!
All boys indie band. Their concept reminds me a little of Taiwan’s Sodagreen, which I absolutely adore. I can’t decide whether I love Qingfeng’s or Namu’s voice more. They have been around for quite a few years but recently gained more attention to their cameo in Playful Kiss (장난스러운 키스)
A recent discovery! Totally my kind of music. I dunno why, but I love narratives in songs ^^
