Hiiiiiiii~! Just a random thought but I think the reason why I’m efficient and consistent in my language studies is because I study whenever I’m happy, sad, annoyed, angry, depressed etc. lol. So basically that’s my main outlet of expressing myself and venting my emotions hahaha. It’s a good thing though, and a healthy choice.
1st Japanese audio drama
My ears. Downloaded a whole load of podcasts to torture train my ears to get used to listening to Japanese. I usually listen to Japanese radio programs but decided to try out an audio drama instead! Not too familiar with audio dramas but basically they are mini dramas “acted” out by voice actors – no
My skewed Japanese vocabulary
You are what you read. Not in a literal way, but whatever exposure you get does help to shape your proficiency when it comes to language learning. Interestingly, my Japanese vocabulary bank is getting kind of skewed (screwed?) because of the stuff I’ve been reading/watching these days. I’m a big fan of crime dramas and
Once in a while indulgences
hehehe feeling happy because I decided to heck irrationality and bought stuff that I like!! Yes, I declared that I won’t be buying another Japanese novel before I finished 白夜行 but I caved. D: Super addicted to Strawberry Night (the drama) and thought it will be a nice challenge to get the novel. I’ve started
Studying Japanese with subtitles
Thanks to Orbiter, I now have a new resource for studying Japanese – JPsubbers! It’s supposed to be subs that you download and play together with the raw drama file, but I’m using it a little differently. Treating it like Dramanote, so I’m actually reading it as a text file and studying from there. HAHA.
やる気がない….
AH. 落ち込む。やる気がない。意気消沈。 Do I have to type more? I’m like a rotting (rotten?) human being these days. Expended too much energy in the earlier weeks of April, so now I am barely functional. ><;; Even eating takes up too much energy, so does typing. When I’m not doing the stuff that I need to do,
N3 Journey スタート!
New category created! The other day Parfait used the term “N3 Journey” in a comment and I really like it so I’ve decided to adopt it for a new sub-category in the Japanese learning journey category! Won’t it be cool if it will be followed by N2 Journey and …. N1 Journey? hahahaha okay I
A timely reminder
This is going to be a cryptic post, so I’m not really expecting people to understand what I’m talking about. Also, don’t bother asking me what I’m referring to, cos I won’t answer ^^ Slightly disappointed about something that I just found out. It was something that I wanted to since a few years ago.
D – 1 to TOPIK
D-1 to TOPIK and I’m happily……. studying Japanese and putting 미치GO on repeat mode! YG MVs are the only ones that I’ll actually put on repeat mode. There’s just so much details it’s impossible to get everything with one watch. It’s a nice surprise when you spot something new / interesting with every play. I’ve
Progress, procrastination and frustration
Progress in Japanese hehe I’m super happy because I watched one whole episode of a Japanese drama and understood like almost everything!! 90%? Granted, the drama was Itazura na Kiss 2013, so the dialogue was pretty simple. But still a big achievement. I remember the first time I watched a Korean drama without subs was
