Books and love

2016 has been a year full of new challenges, new people and new ideas.

Now that I have some time to unwind before starting yet another new chapter, I try to do only the things I love.

Books, languages, literature, poetry.

(the latter two, newly discovered loves)

Started on this cute little book, a present from WX! Exactly the kind of light and breezy (and punny) read I love to unwind at the end of the day. As always, I’m super appreciate of the awesome people that learning Korean has brought to my life and WX is one of them. Knew her since 2010 (hahaha I went to find her first comment on this blog :P), can’t believe it has been 6 years already!!

Went out to get notebooks and a primer. I wanted a notebook to write down good phrases / poetry etc that I come across in books and couldn’t find an appropriate one at home (hahaha sorry I’m just rather obsessive about having the right notebook -.-).

Super happy with the one I found in Tokyu Hands (left). The quality of paper is great and instead of lines, it has grids instead and the lines aren’t that thick or obvious. Which is exactly what I was looking for.

Got another notebook (right) from Kikk.K for next year’s journaling.

Need to cultivate the habit to write more.

So I’ve started to write in the notebook, which I like to call my “book of phrases”. Page 1 is definitely reserved for my all time favourite poem (‘: I always find strength in this poem when I’m feeling down.

I guess I can never do those Instagram-worthy writing and today I’m especially prone to mistakes ><

In any case, I spent the past hour or so filling the first few pages with a few personal favourite poems / verses (and some personal thoughts at the bottom). Mostly Chinese, but I think this notebook will end up being in all 4 languages 😛
