4 In Korean learning journey (:

Back to school

I’m back in school again and this means that I’ll have very little time for Korean again. Particularly since I’m starting to learn Japanese! ^^ Really, I think loving something related to the language really helps in increasing motivation and interest in it! Recently, I’ve been addicted to Japanese dramas and this makes learning Japanese much more interesting (:

My interest in Korean started from the dramas too 😀

The only Korean drama now I’m watching is 내 여자친구 구미호. Nothing else catches my attention for now. I wanna watch more Korean movies. Finished 전우치 a few days ago! Loved the show, but somehow feel that something’s lacking. It has the potential to be more impactful and touching, but it turned up a little too.. bland.

JSA and 쉬리 is next up on my list (;

Actually having a pretty bad headache right now. Just don’t feel like doing anything.

I’m not taking TOPIK or KLPT this year. I don’t feel ready for TOPIK advanced yet and not 100% sure that I can hit level 6 for KLPT.

    Shanna, does your school offer upper level Korean classes? I’m just wondering why you don’t study Korean in college too. Are the Japanese kanji very close to the traditional Chinese characters or have they been modified quite a bit? I know kanji are the hardest thing for Westerners learning Japanese.

      Korean is a relatively new language in my college, so we only have beginner classes. Most of the kanji seems to be the same or very similar to traditional chinese characters. So far, I have only seen a few that deviate. ^^
