Ahem. Meet my new baby ^^
And hi to a very steep learning curve!
Hehe some of you may have recognised the camera already – it’s a fujifilm x100s!! 😀
Learning Korean has brought so many awesome things into my life and to add another one to the list, it opened my eyes to the world of photography.
The people I hanged out with all love photography and naturally I was influenced too and started picking up bits of knowledge as I went with them to camera shops, meet other photographers/enthusiats and go on photowalks.
I learnt about the existence of street photography then too (:
On a side note, it feels like its easier to take photos on the street in Korea. A lot of people carry DSLRs or other fancy equipment around and it’s normal to see people taking photographs on the street. There is just lesser suspicion and more freedom lolol. ><;; I really digressed lol. I love taking photos. But without meeting them I'll probably like taking photos in a different way. You know... liking cameras with all kinds of filters and beauty functions and selca friendly... hahaha Anyway I fell in love with this camera, or rather the x100 model, 3 years ago (: Love at first sight kinda. Now it's mine (: That being said, I'm going to stick to the following resolutions: 1. No buying extra accessories for it, except for the LCD screen protector lolol. It will be an endless pursuit. 2. Be content with it and learn how to use it properly. 3. No upgrading allowed. Never go into the world of lenses and more lenses and more cameras and more accessories lol 4. To bring it out as often as I can. To handle it with care but not to the point of obsession. 5. To be super super happy because I've finally got my dream camera and be less stressed over other ahem stuff. My motivation to go on. Lolol. Hehe so nowadays I need to create time to learn about photography too!! Heh I approach photogralhy in a very methodical way too lolol Ill study and take down notes also hahaha. Ya I know photography is about "doing it" but erm I work better with a more theory-based approach at the start lolol. Now you will see textbook photos taken with an awesome camera. (Ok I did not get this to take textbook photos!) Till the next post (: Ill appreciate any info/good sites etc for photography!!
