2 In Korean learning journey (:

A break does wonders

Two weeks (or was it longer?) of break away from Korean helped alot. It sharpened my focus and it helped to evaluate my current proficiency. I’m now back to using Yonsei Reading 6 and for some strange reason, I find that I can read it with even more ease and clearer understanding compared to the time I last studied Korean. O.o

I don’t really think I did anything in the middle period to justify the improvement. I’m now more in tune with the flow of the words, absorbing not just the meaning and the grammar, but the stylistic details and also the whole ‘feel’ of the passage. The passages are pretty long and comes with an mp3 file, and I’m surprised to find that I can understand the passage generally just by listening to the mp3 file first. Even though in actuality, there are many unfamiliar words in the passage.

I’m pretty happy about the improvements I’ve made since summer 2010, even though I seriously think I did nothing within the span of one year. O.o

p.s. Thanks for all the feedback on the new layout! ^^ I’m loving it myself too!
