9 In Korean learning journey (:

열공 중의 모습

Not sure how the others feel, but studying Korean is somewhat like a therapy for me. It is when I can forget all other worries and calm my mind. I will put in 100% concentration and it helps to distract (?) me from all other worries. Not feeling too good recently and I find myself forcing myself to do things that range from mildly dislike to hugely frustrating.

I have tons other work to complete but nothing works better than a few hours of time devoted to Korean to prevent me from going all out depressed. >,<

For some reason, I like my handwriting now 😀

I agree, studying a language always seems to calm my nerves. I recently started to study Korean and my handwriting is terrible! Hopefully, my writing becomes as good as yours!

Hello! I’m currently self-studying Korean and I have a question, hope you can help clear my doubts! 🙂

May I know the difference between 무슨 and 어떤? Or do they actually mean the same thing?

    Thanks in advance! ^_^

that’s a difficult question 😛 both have the general meaning of ‘what’ but they each have specific uses

      어떤
      1. when asking for something/someone’s characteristics, content, character etc
예) 어떤 책이에요? / 선생님은 어떤 사람이세요?

      2. ‘someone’ –> not specific
예) 어제 어떤 이상한 남자가 집에 찾아 왔어요

      무슨
      1. when u are asking about sth u dunno
      예) 무슨 냄새야?

      2. what kind of..? (negative connotation)
      예) 이게 무슨 노래야?!
      무슨 걱정은 이렇게 많아??!

there are still a few more meanings each can take up but i think these are the main uses of each ^^

Ohh I like your handwriting too!! Mine is pretty messed up. Huhu I wish I’m like you~ you concentrate on Korean a lot.

Just wondering what’s that book over there? 한국어 문법?
