My ears are still ringing from all the fanchants and screaming.
No, I didn’t exactly went for a k-pop concert.
But sitting in a cinema didn’t make the fans any less excited.

Exams have finally ended and decided to have a fun day out with the plus one (bff). We were set on eating 자장면 today, to commemorate our love for Fantasy Couple, but fate was not to be and the place was closed today. Ended up having lunch at Wang Dae Bak Korean restaurant, which I’ve raved about dinner HERE. Awesome foooood!! 😀 And it’s even better for lunch, since the prices are NETT. No GST and Service charge. 아싸! The set lunch prices are between $10 to $13, which is pretty decent for a very authentic Korean meal.
I had the 알탕 (fish egg stew) and the plus one had the 유개장 (beef stew?). 알탕 is something that probably scare a lot of foreigners away and not many Singapore Korean restaurants offer it. This tastes FANTASTIC, even better than the one I had in Korea (which according to the Koreans, is very good already!)

This monster was 10 times the size of the egg I had in Seoul. WTF.And I already cut in into half….
I told the plus one that this was fish brains…. okay I’m kidding. Contrary to the fiery soup look, this is not spicy at all! In fact, it’s very 시원하다 hahaha 😀 Sorry I have no adjectives for it in English. Refreshing I guess?
The plus one’s 유개장! So much nicer than other places. Definitely recommended!!!
Side dishes were absolutely delicious (5 in total) but unpictured because my photo doesn’t do them worthy!
We were on a lame self-given mission to photograph all the christmas trees that we came across and here’s a few!

As with all concert / fandom reviews, I need to be really careful with what I say, to prevent inciting all kinds of comments on the blog ><;;
Particularly since SM isn’t really my fandom.
Wasn’t sure what to expect and I was wondering if there would be screaming or “오빠~~~ 사랑해!!!!” during the concert.
And woah.. the fans were sure enthusiastic!
I’m pretty sure that the fans today were from the same fanclub or something, given that whole rows of them looked like they knew each other.
And when the screen lighted up, I immediately knew which fandom they belonged to.

It was a pretty awesome experience, and the enthusiastic fans really made it more fun 😛 They started the fanchants without any cues and the plus one and me were really… surprised.

Kinda fun to see who they screamed the loudest for. 😛 Today’s winner was clearly LeeTeuk ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
No one really screamed for Ryeowook ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I simply squealed and giggled every time he appeared 😛
Loved the whole show! It wasn’t really 3D (like in your face kind), but it was definitely HD and awesome!!
Krystal’s legs are THE BEST. Like omg.
Seeing how it’s SM TOWN TOKYO, most of the songs were Japanese versions ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Me sad. I’m only familiar with their Korean songs, so it made it hard for me to try to sing along.
Priced at $18 for GV members in Singapore ($24 for non-members), the 98 min show wasn’t cheap, but it was definitely worth the experience!!

GV, please bring in the BIG BANG 3D show, and I’ll gladly pay for the experience again. And again. And again. ^^
p.s. Wolf Boy will be showing in GV from 13th December onwards in Singapore, and it’s time to oogle at SONG JOONG KI.

So, the 3D part wasn’t like…dizzying? I would think a 3D movie concert would be.
Surprisingly, that fish egg stew looks really good! Normally I would be put off by something like that but it looks good enough to make my mouth water. XD I really want to try Korean food. It looks so yummy!

That stew was awesome! Is it easy to get Korean food in your area?

No, there aren’t many Korean restaurants. I decided to do a search for some and there are two. Both of them are bit out of my way and not in the greatest of places to be put it nicely.

I want that stew! Why you make me hungry? 😀 I prefer Korean (and any other kind of Asian) food over Western food.

I prefer Asian food too! But perhaps because I haven’t had much of authentic Western food. But Western food in Korea is much nicer than in Singapore ><;

11 December, 2012 at 6:10 AMOne of the down sides being in central Europe is the lack of access to anything “asian” – of course apart from a whole lot of Chinese restaurants, which don’t really serve proper Chinese food. And to my bad luck even if concerts take place in Europe I am too far away…. why does Big Bang have to have a concert in London a year after I left, no idea.
And thoughts of Korean food make me hungry… time to make Kimchi… Also reminds me that I have a Korean food voucher. Curious how Korean food will taste here.
Oh the photo of you standing in shorts in front of a Christmas tree make me feel cold… guess that is only because I associate Christmas with cold weather and now it’s freezing here. How I wish I could go to Singapore now.

13 December, 2012 at 6:00 AMI think there are more and more restaurants appearing here and there. The trouble is, that things need to be adjusted to the taste buds of Czech people. I think you will find more authentic asian food in London, not in Prague. So I’m quite curious about it. They say the cook is Korean….
Generally I just try to get the ingredients and cook the food myself. 😀

11 December, 2012 at 7:09 PMI want to watch it as well! Though it’s a little ex. (I did watch SMTOWN I AM though, the whole theatre –including me– was screaming like we’re mad!) I live in Singapore as well and I just cant seem to find korean restaurants anywhere. Even if i find random korean dishes in a not-korean-restaurant, it seems scary to eat them. They just dont seem to fit me. I’ve been to south korea in 2010 though, and i LOVED the food. Hope to visit Korea again soon. ^^
