Decided to take out my Korean linguistics reference book.
Even though I didn’t end up walking that route, I still love the subject very much. Perhaps even more so when I’m reading it on my own, instead of being bagged down by other stuff.
I still remembered how excited I was when I first got the book. Even looking at the book cover had me grinning like an idiot. Seeing all those familiar linguistics terms in Korean made me doubly happy somehow and it was just so thrilling to be reading a postgraduate level book in Korean ^^.
The feeling still stays with me now. Looking at the notes I took and the terms I highlighted in the first chapter brought back a lot of memories.
But it does feel good to look at the book 2 years later and find it such a breeze to read through. (: I still remembered how at that time I needed to spend slightly more effort and time to read through each page but now it feels almost as easy as reading it in English. The focus is now on the content, not the language.
Completed around 30 plus pages today ^^ Shall continue on tomorrow.
