My love-hate relationship with Japanese.
I hate the fact that I’m taking Japanese lessons in school but I love it when I’m self-studying the language. Although I haven’t been blogging much about my Japanese study, the truth is that I’ve been spending more time these days on Japanese. In some sense. I get exposed to more Korean materials but when it comes to ‘studying’, I do more for Japanese.
So far my strategy is to use one book/site until I reached a point where things get too difficult for me. Then I’ll switch to another site/book and then come back again when I feel more comfortable with that level. And it’s working. kinda.
I shall do a review for KU’s Japanese textbook soon. (:
I’m sorry I don’t have much to say about learning Japanese at the moment.

2 April, 2012 at 6:30 AMI actually loved taking Japanese classes in college. My self-study didn’t get me very far beyond memorizing the kana sets, but in 2 years I was able to understand lots of grammar and kanji and everything else.
I’m guessing it would be the same if I went from self-studying Korean to taking classes as well, but the local community college classes only go through 2 levels.
